1983 BMW R100CS Cafe Racer - (Driveshaft Disassembly & Assembly)
February 11th, 2012 - (driveshaft disassembly) - Just received this tool from Cycleworks today. This driveshaft compressor tool (for post 1980 R-Bikes) replaces BMW tool number 26 7 100. I needed to get the driveshaft out of the swing arm to prep the latter for powder coating. The tool was very straightforward to use and the Craftsman picks worked very well to get the cir-clip out.

keep up the posts. They’re definitely going to serve as a how-to down the road for me…I’m thinking of running a 120 in the rear. Man I hope I don’t have to get all machinist on my swing arm.
